Finding a topic

Are you having trouble deciding on a topic?  Try looking for current issues in feminist websites and blogs, for instance:

Try scanning some of the web sites on the Women's Studies subject guide.

Try scanning a few issues of these important periodicals:

Review which topic areas are presently active in scholarly works by consulting:

Finding the right words and concepts

Subject guides (on the right hand side of this page) have information about reference materials such as dictionaries and encyclopedias, which can give you background information about your topic.  They also have information about indexes and abstracts, which include article databases.
