We collect, preserve, and provide access to scholarly resources to support teaching, learning, and research at Carleton, and we play a lead role in making Carleton’s scholarly output available globally.

Message from the University Librarian

Welcome to MacOdrum Library!  Consider this your portal to all the library’s resources – staff expertise; information resources such as databases, ejournals, and ebooks; links to our own catalogue and discovery layer, and the catalogues of other libraries; library news and reports; and ways to give us feedback.

Our focus continues to be technology, collections, staff expertise, and resources in order to deliver the services you need. We are finalizing a new strategic plan which will lead us to 2018 and beyond. The recent renovation of the Library building has given you expanded and renovated learning spaces. We are also using emerging technologies to reach you on your mobile devices wherever you are; supporting your research efforts and opening up your research to the world; and working with library colleagues in Canada and around the world to give you enhanced access to excellent research collections.

So, come to the library – in person or by this website. We are here to ensure your academic success.
